A Columbus Crew Game + Our Summer Program Kick Off!
In June, children in our out-of-school programming had the chance to see the Columbus Crew face off against Philadelphia Union. Before the game started, students got to stand near the "Gold Carpet" and high-five players as they arrived! They also received some pretty sweet swag to cheer on the team in style. We want to extend a big “thank you” to the Crew for this amazing game day experience!
With the official kickoff of our Summer Achievers program, our students are getting involved all kinds of experiential activities designed to spur critical thinking, teamwork, and creativity. We’re incredibly grateful for the community support that gave us the ability to continue hosting the program this year. Not only does our summer programming give our students the opportunity to see and do things they might not otherwise have the ability to participate in – it also helps them retain the knowledge and skills they learned in the classroom during the school year, while preserving vital family income.
