Seven Siblings Spread Joy through Sponsorship
Weary of their annual holiday gift exchange, Katie C. and her family landed on a new, more inspiring holiday tradition. This year will mark the 5th year that Katie and her seven siblings have sponsored a family together for our Holiday Joy! Family Sponsor program.
Katie and her family always ask to sponsor one of HFF's largest families, which can be an enormous lift for any one family to take on. Oh, and if that wasn't enough —Katie and her entire family are spread across the country.
So, how do they do it? They've perfected a system that incorporates a shared spreadsheet to ensure all gifts are tracked and accounted for, and that no child is left out.
“It’s just a fun way to bring people together,” Katie said. “We want someone else to have a very meaningful holiday.”
Each holiday season brings new ways for her family to collaborate to give the generous gift of a joyous holiday for a family in need.

An Amazing Open House!
Thank you to all who attended our Community Open House in recognition of World Homeless Day! Attendees enjoyed pumpkin painting, tours, meeting staff, sweet treats courtesy of Whipped up by Whit and the Chocolate Cafe, and snuggles with our Facility Dog, Tatum. We loved welcoming the community to our space and sharing how we work every day to empower families through crisis. Thank you Nationwide Insurance for generously sponsoring our WHD event!
