Founded in 1986, Home for Families is one of the largest non-shelter housing providers for low-income families in Columbus, working alongside landlords, government agencies, and community partners to provide safe, secure, and affordable housing solutions to over 1,200 families experiencing housing crises each year.

We partner with families and youth to resolve their housing crises, strengthen financial stability, and bridge education gaps to prevent future homelessness.

HousingWith a family-centric philosophy, our case managers partner with families and youths in crisis to provide vital case management, housing interventions, and eviction prevention planning.

Family StabilizationWe provide a range of material supports, such as food and household essentials, as well as connections to community resources to help families and youths avoid crises.

EducationOur SPARK Kindergarten Readiness (ages 3-6), Afterschool, and Summer Achievers programs (ages 5-12) focus on crucial academic and healthy social-emotional skills for young learners.

Trauma-informed CareOur holistic approach to housing case management includes in-house counseling sessions for clients provided by Hidden Roots Mental Health as well as stress reduction opportunities with our Canine Companions® Facility Dog, Tatum.
